Chemical Processing
- Kalrez® 0090 – RGD resistance, high hardness. DuPont has developed Kalrez® 0090 perfluoroelastomer parts for exceptional resistance to rapid and repeated gas decompression (RGD) as well as high hardness and high modulus properties.
- Kalrez® 1050LF – Hot water, steam & amine resistance. Material characteristics: excellent resistance to hot water and steam, excellent resistance to amines, and good compression properties. It is recommended not to exceed the maximum service temperature of 288°C (550°F) and to avoid use in high temperature organic or inorganic acids.
- Kalrez® 3018 – Carbon black filled, high modulus. DUPONT™ KALREZ® 3018 perfluoroelastomer parts are a carbon black filled product similar to KALREZ® 1050LF, but with higher hardness/modulus.
- Kalrez® 3065 – Oil & gas well applications. The mechanical properties and chemical resistance of DUPONT™ KALREZ® 3065 make it the best choice for oil and gas wells.
- Kalrez® 4001 Spectrum™ – Ultra-pure applications. DUPONT™ KALREZ® 4001 perfluoroelastomer parts are an unfilled product, especially suited for select high purity applications.
- Kalrez® 4079 – Chemical & aerospace, low compression set. Kalrez® 4079 is a low compression product for use in various components, such as O-rings, diaphragms and gaskets, in the chemical and aerospace industries. It is filled with carbon black and has excellent chemical, mechanical and hot air aging properties. It resists organic, inorganic acids and aldehydes well, but is not suitable for use with hot water/steam or some hot aliphatic amines, ethylene oxide or propylene oxide. The maximum recommended service temperature is 316°C, with short excursions to higher temperatures possible.
- Kalrez® 6190 – High-volume applications, thermal stability. A carbon black filled product specifically designed for custom parts and high volume applications. Excellent thermal stability, good mechanical strength properties and can be used in static and dynamic sealing applications up to 300°C (572°F). Additionally, KALREZ® 6190 is resistant to most chemical solvents, but is not recommended for use in steam, strong acids or bases.
- Kalrez® MS220 – Mechanical seals with superior resistance. DUPONT™ KALREZ® MS220 perfluoroelastomer parts are designed for mechanical seals where superior chemical resistance and reduced compression set are critical to successful sealing performance.
- Kalrez® CP222 – Custom molded applications. DUPONT™ KALREZ® CP222 perfluoroelastomer parts are the ultimate product for unique custom shapes or high-volume applications.
- Kalrez® 0040 – DUPONT™ KALREZ® SPECTRUM™ 0040 perfluoroelastomer parts are specifically designed for low temperature environments where significant chemical resistance (-42°C) is required.
- Kalrez® 6375 Spectrum™ – Broad chemical and temperature range. KALREZ® SPECTRUM™ 6375 is designed to deliver exceptional performance across the widest possible range of chemistries and temperatures.
- Kalrez® 6380 Spectrum™ – DUPONT™ KALREZ® SPECTRUM™ 6380 perfluoroelastomer parts are a non-black product, developed specifically for chemical processes involving hot, aggressive amines.
- Kalrez® 7075 Spectrum™ – Valves, flanges, mechanical seals. DUPONT™ KALREZ® SPECTRUM™ 7075 perfluoroelastomer parts are the material of choice for mechanical seals, valves, flanges and other demanding chemical and hydrocarbon processing applications.
- Kalrez® 7090 Spectrum™ – DUPONT™ KALREZ® SPECTRUM™ 7090 perfluoroelastomer parts are specifically intended for use in applications requiring high hardness/higher modulus properties.
- Kalrez® 7275 Spectrum™ – DUPONT™ KALREZ® SPECTRUM™ 7275 is designed to deliver exceptional performance in aggressive chemical environments.
- Kalrez® 7375 Spectrum™ – DUPONT™ KALREZ® SPECTRUM™ 7375 perfluoroelastomer parts are an innovative FFKM product based on a patented cross-linking system for applications in the chemical process industry where broad chemical and water/steam resistance at elevated temperatures is needed.
- Kalrez® 7390 Spectrum™ – Steam & hot water resistance. KALREZ® SPECTRUM™ 7390 perfluoroelastomer seals are designed to meet the most severe applications in contact with chemicals, hot water and steam – based on a cross-linking system of which Dupont™ is proprietary, KALREZ® 7390 parts can meet the FFKM 90 SH specifications. Produced in different shapes for applications where superior mechanical resistance is required.
Semiconductor
- Kalrez® 6375 UP – Strong acid/base resistance. Converting raw semiconductor materials into a useful device requires hundreds of chemical processing steps. A significant number of these steps involve the use of aggressive acids, solvents, and bases, such as amines, to clean, wash, etch, or remove unwanted substances and contaminants from the wafer surface. However, these chemicals can attack elastic seals, causing swelling and degradation or leaching of unwanted metals and ions that affect the functionality of the integrated circuit.
- Kalrez® 7075 UP – Optimized for metal CVD. DUPONT™ KALREZ® 7075UP perfluoroelastomer parts are a black product specifically for metal CVD applications. It offers exceptional thermal stability, very low outgassing and excellent compression set properties. KALREZ® 7075UP exhibits excellent sealing force retention.
- Kalrez® 8002 – Plasma-resistant, low particle. DuPont™ Kalrez® 8002 is a clear product ideal for ash/stripe applications. This unfilled product offers exceptional resistance to plasma cracking, as well as extremely low particle generation in oxygen- and fluorine-based plasmas compared to mineral-filled products. Additionally, Kalrez® 8002 demonstrates excellent resistance to dry process chemistry, good mechanical strength and is suitable for static, low stress/low sealing force applications and “select” bonded door seals.
- Kalrez® 8085 – Wafer yield improvement. KALREZ® 8085 has been reported to significantly improve wafer production in a variety of plasma and semiconductor process applications where oxygen and fluorinated plasmas are used during the cleaning cycle.
- Kalrez® 8475 – High purity thermal processes. KALREZ® 8475 perfluoroelastomer parts are a white product specifically developed to meet the demanding requirements associated with lamp annealing and RTP sealing applications and in semiconductor thermal processes.
- Kalrez® 8575 – KALREZ® 8575 perfluoroelastomer parts are a white product for “select” etch, ash/stripe and deposition applications.
- Kalrez® 8705 – KALREZ® 8705 perfluoroelastomer parts are primarily designed for sealing locations in the direct path of high-energy ultraviolet (UV) radiation emitted from a conventional light source or plasma.
- Kalrez® 8775 – Excellent amine resistance. KALREZ® 8775 is a black product for semiconductor applications that offers excellent amine resistance, resistance to aggressive aqueous media, superior overall chemical resistance, excellent compressive strength and a superior service temperature of 300°C. KALREZ® 8775 can be a suitable replacement for KALREZ® 1050 UP in wet chemistry applications.
- Kalrez® 8900 – High-temperature vacuum use. KALREZ® 8900 perfluoroelastomer parts are a black product for all thermal processes, such as oxidation, diffusion furnace, metal CVD, ALD and LPCVD. It offers exceptional thermal stability, very low outgassing and excellent (low) compression set properties.
- Kalrez® 9100 – PECVD and HDPCVD applications. KALREZ® 9100 is an amber translucent product targeted specifically for PECVD and HDPCVD processes. It also showed excellent performance in “select” engraving processes.
- Kalrez® 9300 – Plasma environments, dielectric etching. DuPont™ Kalrez® 9300 perfluoroelastomer parts are a brown product suitable for dielectric (oxide) etching applications. This product has been specifically designed for use in plasma environments that combine “physical” ions and “chemical” radicals. In other words, it is ideal where a balance between “physical” and “chemical” plasma erosion resistance is required.
- Kalrez® 9500 – CVD process resistance. The extraordinary properties of Kalrez® 9500 in resistance to CVD and ash/streak process chemistry, i.e. ozone, ammonia and water vapor, make it a reliable material. Furthermore, it offers high thermal stability, very low outgassing and remarkable mechanical resistance.
- Kalrez® 9600 – Oxygen & fluorine plasma resistance. DuPont™ Kalrez® 9600 perfluoroelastomer components are designed for high-purity, high-temperature vacuum applications where seals are exposed to harmful fluorine and oxygen plasma radicals.
- Kalrez® W240 UP – Wet process semiconductor seals. DuPont™ Kalrez® W240UP perfluoroelastomer components are designed for semiconductor wet processes, such as wafer cleaning tools, wet etch tools, coating development tools, and filters/pumps/valves . Kalrez® W240UP can help increase process reliability and meet market needs in the most demanding wet applications.
Pharmaceutical & Food Applications
- Kalrez® 6221 – White FDA-approved grade. DUPONT™ KALREZ® 6221 perfluoroelastomer parts are a white product that provides superior chemical resistance and low contamination in pharmaceutical and food handling applications where FDA compliance is required. DUPONT™ KALREZ® 6221 parts are suitable for WATER FOR INJECTION (WFI) systems, STEAM-IN-PLACE (SIP) cleaning and other critical systems. Thermally stable up to 260°C (500°F), allowing them to be used in phase II sterilization processes, where other elastomers lose their sealing ability.
- Kalrez® 6230/6230A – Black FDA & USP Class VI compliant. DUPONT™ KALREZ® 6230/6230A* perfluoroelastomer parts are a black product that provides superior chemical resistance and low contamination in pharmaceutical and food handling applications where FDA compliance is required. DUPONT™ KALREZ® 6230/6230A parts are suitable for WATER FOR INJECTION (WFI), STEAM-IN-PLACE (SIP) cleaning and other critical systems. Thermally stable up to 260°C (500°F) which allows them to be used in phase II sterilization processes, where other elastomers lose their sealing ability.
- Kalrez® LS205 – Low extractables, gray compound. DUPONT™ KALREZ® LS205 perfluoroelastomer parts provide superior chemical resistance and low levels of extractables in demanding applications for use in food handling and pharmaceutical applications where FDA compliance is required.
- Kalrez® LS390 – Sanitary seals for food & pharma. DUPONT™ KALREZ® LS390 perfluoroelastomer parts are a gray product for use as sanitary seals in food, beverage and pharmaceutical handling applications where FDA, USP <87> AND <88> CLASS VI compliance is required.
